Jacqueline Melancon, FNP

Jacqueline Melancon is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than two decades of experience at multiple levels of healthcare. She is a Louisiana native – originally from New Orleans and raised in Opelousas. Jackie is a graduate of Opelousas High School; South Louisiana Community College; LSU-Alexandria; and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. 

Jackie has worked in healthcare since 1996, when she earned a nursing assistant certification. Her experience includes serving patients as both a licensed practical nurse and 14 years as a registered nurse, giving her a strong clinical foundation and a passion for supporting patients – all of which served as a natural bridge to becoming a nurse practitioner. 

Jackie’s favorite thing about working at The Kinder Clinic is building relationships with patients and working with a supportive team that truly cares about patient outcomes.

Outside work, Jackie and her husband have two daughters, identical twin sons, and two granddaughters. 

Fun fact: Although she’s a lifelong Louisianan…Jackie does not like okra!
